In two short years Voi has grown from a startup to a multi-million company with subsidiaries in 8 European markets. On this journey we have built a professional finance function at our HQ in Stockholm and are now looking for a Financial Controller to oversee and manage the accounting for the Swedish entity. As we continue our expansion across Europe this is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic accountant wishing to develop in a fast paced environment.
The role:
As Financial Controller for Sweden your main responsibility is to oversee and manage the accounting for the Swedish entity, manage the VAT reporting for the Swedish entity in several countries and making sure the company is compliant in all these markets. In addition to this the Finance Controller will work continuously to optimize and identify improvements in our current accounting practices. The role will include:
Overseeing and managing all current accounting for the Swedish company
Responsibility for the monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Assuring the quality of the financial records by reviewing the P/L and B/S at monthly closings
Responsibility for the monthly VAT reporting in multiple countries
Preparing material to support statutory audits
Preparing the standalone annual financial report for Voi Technology AB
Participating and contributing in the tax return preparation
Participating in improvement initiatives and collaborating with internal stakeholders to design and implement standardized, efficient and compliant accounting processes and controls
The person we’re looking for:
We believe that the right person for this role is enthusiastic, truly loves accounting and has several years of experience from accounting in an international group with responsibility for a legal entity’s total accounts. Ideally this person has:
A Bachelor degree in Economics or Business Administration
Several years of experience from accounting in an international group with responsibility for a legal entity’s total accounts, preferably in the parent company
Experience of analysis and reviewing of both balance sheet and profit and loss
Experience of K3 accounting standard, VAT reporting in several European countries and intercompany transactions
Hands-on experience of accounting software, such as Netsuite, Microsoft Dynamics AX, SAP or similar and excellent knowledge in G-suite and/or Microsoft Office applications
Experience of IFRS accounting standard, fixed assets and micro-transactions is a merit
Professional fluency in Swedish and English
