Your playfield

The Sweden Operations Financial Controller is a newly created role. The goal is to lead Financial Controllership with the Business supporting financial activities for Sweden Operations & specific business areas, provide expertise and guidance on financial, internal controls and manufacturing accounting.


You will join a team of Finance Business Partners and will be essential to build a strong relationship with middle & back office Finance teams, as well as Group Finance & external auditors.


Your role

This role will report to the Head of Finance Sweden Operations. You will have support from both internal & external teams, but it is your responsibility to ensure compliance with AZ Global standards, financial controls including SOX, to ensure Group & statutory obligations are met on a timely basis. Responsibilities also include taking lead in annual budgeting and forecasting for Sweden Operations supporting functions together with middle office Team & Business and driving simplification of financial systems & processes.


Key Responsibilities

* Define Sweden Manufacturing cost accounting standards and specifically product costing, manufacturing variances, inventory etc, including Financial Controls in line with Global Policies & standards
* Manage Operations statutory & management accounting close process, liaising closely with middle office and back office Teams on the completion of key closing process activities performed by Report to Record team.
* Committed to driving good performance and great leadership to shape supporting functions strategies and develop financial plans.
* Together with the onsite finance team, build a phenomenal partnership with the middle office Finance Teams to ensure efficient and highly professional financial support.



Essential Requirements

* Relevant academic degree.
* Significant post-qualification experience in Finance Function, operating at senior Business Partnering and/or Financial Controller levels with good track record of senior finance management, strategic leadership & driving performance.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and in Swedish, to deliver key financial messages in a way that is both influential & impactful to finance & non-finance teams.
* Strategic business thinking in combination with rigorous analytical thinking and integrity.
* Delivery focus - must be able to handle competing deadlines & priorities optimally.


Desired Requirements

* Experience of working in collaboration with others to achieve results.
* Experience within manufacturing & complex supply chain/site environments, knowledge of product costing.
* Experience with Global Shared Services organization is considered an advantage.
* International experience, either from work abroad or from previous experience with an international company.
