Financial Controller to a global online company

Role description

You will have the overall responsibility for both the financial strategy and the day to day processes.  You will be leading the Finance team based in Stockholm, Malta and Bogotá and working close with the Executive Management Team. You will report to the CEO.

Today our finance team is split in three different areas, Accounting, Treasury and Controlling. In accounting you will be responsible for presenting and reporting accurate and timely historical financial information to all stakeholders. You are also in charge of Treasury, ensuring Besedos’ present financial condition and cash position at all times. Another part of the Treasury role will be to oversee and optimize the capital structure. The controlling focus will be on financial strategy, forecasting and modelling of Besedo’s financial future. The Finance team consists of 6 persons, whereof 2 persons reporting to you.

Your profile

You are a strong leader that not only provide your team with clear directions and regular follow ups but also encourage and motivate them to do their best every day. One of your strongest side is how to organize and plan activities and projects, both by structure and objectives but also by using appropriate software to increase efficiency. You also have an intense analytical business mind and a good understanding of financial analysis and theories. The role also requires you to work independently and supporting the entire global organization and to start and operate processes.

Requirements

• Detailed knowledge and experience of accounting and tax theory and practices
• Very good knowledge and high confidence in speaking and writing English
• Experience from controlling in an international organization
• Experience of team management
• Must be a numerate and computer expert
• Must be able to travel
