Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions. Financial Control Industrial Operations & Management Reporting (JRI), a department within Corporate Control, is responsible for the consolidation, analysis and follow-up of Scania’s industrial segment as well as the external segment Vehicles & Services. The department also takes an active role in managing and developing the financial steering model at Scania. Since we support Corporate Control, Scania’s CFO and the board of directors with reports and analysis we put great emphasis in qualitative, timely and relevant information. We are also responsible for the follow-up of the investments within the Scania Group.

Job description

As one of our current controllers is leaving for other challenges within Scania, we are now looking for an ambitious controller to join our team in Södertälje. We offer a position in an exciting and dynamic environment with the opportunity to contribute to the development and strengthening of our team.

As a Financial Controller you are responsible for the follow-up of certain areas assigned to your responsibility in period closings, projections and in the annual closing. With focus on providing relevant and operational analyses you contribute to deepening the understanding from different stakeholders of the industrial segment. The department strives to be in the forefront in the digitalisation journey and is always evaluating how new tools can help us to provide better analyses and become more efficient in our daily operations. You will also act as a support to our units in the group reporting and take the role as an expert in questions connected to this.

The main responsibilities are:


• Book-closing and financial planning
• Participating and leading different projects
• Ad-hoc requests and investigations

The role will give you close contact to key stakeholders within the organization and a solid understanding of Scania's business model. By analysing the industrial segment you will have close contact with colleagues at Research & Development, Purchasing, Production & Logistics and Sales & Marketing.

Your profile

To be able to solve complex tasks you will need to be analytical as a person. The ability to focus on details without losing grip of the big picture is therefore essential in order to succeed in your role. You should have the ability to both work independently and as a part of a team. A service minded and solution oriented attitude is something we place great value in.

We are looking for a person with a degree in Business and Administration. You have a passion for business and an interest for group reporting. You are an experienced Microsoft Office user. It's merituous if you have worked within Hyperion Financial Management and PowerBi previously. Scania is a global organisation and good knowledge in both written and oral English is required.
