Exide Nordic is looking for a Financial Controller/Senior Accountant for the Nordic Finance and Controlling department in Mölnlycke. The position is part of a local finance and controlling team of four people. This position is close to the Nordic Chief Accountant and the local controller team as well as to the SSC for transactional accounting in Poznan (Accounts Payable and Receivables) and other Finance functions in Europe like Treasury and Consolidation team.

Main responsibilities
The role of the Financial Controller/Senior Accountant is to manage the day-to-day activities of the general accounting and tax reporting areas to ensure the tasks are delivered accurately and on time. This includes providing accounting support to major financial accounting areas, including the accounts payable desk, general ledger accounting, account reconciliation and tax-related issues and month-end- reportings. The role also includes coordination of the day-to-day activities of the Treasury areas within the business to ensure the tasks are delivered accurately and on time. In this area, many of the activities are performed by the SSC in Poznan, but the role includes coordination with the SSC and preparation and follow up on weekly cash forecasting. The responsibility and tasks include all four Nordic Legal Entities (Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Denmark)

Furthermore, typical tasks will include:

• Prepare accounting according to local regulations, asset management, taxes and insurances, travel expense management and coordination with the SSC in Poznan.
• Prepare and support monthly group reporting according to group regulations and procedures.
• Allocate costs to the correct general ledger, department, and correct period, by managing and booking the accruals.
• Payroll accounting and reconciliations – information provided by the payroll provider in each country.
• Prepare and file VAT and Intrastat declarations.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare supporting documentation for internal, external and tax audits.
• Provide the business with accurate cash forecasting and request the cash needs controlling receipts/funding and assuring that they are in line with the weekly forecast.
• Coordinate with the SSC in Poznan the activity involved with banks (financial lines usage, approval of payments, information requested)
• Ad hoc tasks and projects

You will also be very much involved in the migration to a new ERP system. This project includes all of Europe, and the migration will start in the Nordics in the second half of 2023.

Qualifications and experience
You have a university degree within Finance along with minimum 5 years of qualified experience in accounting. Preferable you have experience from working in a Scandinavian position in an international environment and used to work in a matrix structure. You are fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. You have experience in various ERP Systems (Oracle is a plus) as well as having advanced skills in MS Office, especially Excel.
