The business is split in to four sectors Marine, Land, Aviation and Nuclear. This role is within the aviation business. Aviation is split in to four business units Iberia, Nordics, Italy and the UK. The Nordic aviation business has transitioned from a family owned company to part of a multi-national PLC, as such the business has undergone a lot of change and is now integrated in to the wider group. The business continues to undergo change and is strengthening its workforce to deal with the future requirements.

Now we are looking for a Financial Controller with responsibilities for Sweden and Finland. Location at our office at Arlanda flygplats (Office One)

Who we are looking for:

The Financial Controller should have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with relevant experience. He/she shall be fluent in spoken and written Swedish and English and have strong communication skills. Financial Controller should be structured, well organised, have strong analytical skills, collaborative, teamwork driven and have integrity.

The position will be required to:

- Provide financial support, guidance to operational business managers.
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with the applicable regulations, group policies and instructions.
- Manage the Finance team in Sweden and Finland which consists of varying experience levels
- Manage the validity, completeness and prudence of financial information
- Work in an effective collaborative manner with internal and external stakeholders, displaying the appropriate behaviours at all times.
- Review and implement process improvements to improve the overall performance of the finance function.
- Ensure that all Annual Accounts for Sweden are prepared and submitted on time and comply
- with all statutory requirements
- Produce budget and forecasts for Sweden
- Ensure VAT, taxes and fees are prepared and submitted on time and comply with all statutory requirements
- Ensure the delegation of authorities (DoA) is properly implemented in processes and systems


Financial Controller is responsible for preparing all accounting, tax and cash activities within then Swedish Babcock business and helping to ensure the Swedish business is operating to its full capacity while meeting all legislative requirements.
