Tjänstebeskrivning As a Financial IT Consultant you will help clients develop more efficient tools, models and processes for their trading and risk management operations.You will take part in the advisory, management, implementation, integration and customization of vendor products at Investment Banks and Financial Institutions, aiming to stream-line them for cutting- edge performance and business processing.Being a new member of our crew you will be extensively trained through our internal training program.If you have previous experience in the field, adequate add-on training and parallel work with our senior associates will be arranged prior to engaging in live assignments.In your role you will: . Gain experience in the very forefront of the international financial industry . Work with the processes in investment banks and other financial institutions all the way through trading, portfolio management, valuation, risk management and back office processing . Travel and work with dedicated people in and outside Europe Krav på person Requirements: . Strong interpersonal and social skills . Enthusiastic, results driven .Degree of Master of Science, preferably within Engineering Physics, Economics of Innovation and Growth or equivalent degree .Recent experience in Object Oriented architecture and programming (e.g.Python, Java, C++, C#) . You are genuinely interested in problem solving where programming skills combined with knowledge of financial theories apply .Fluent in English speaking and writing.Proficiency in German and/or French is highly regarded.. No travel limitations Optional requirements: . Hands on experience with systems such as Sungard Front Arena, Calypso, Sophis or Murex is highly preferred..Relational Databases: Sybase/Oracle/Microsoft SQL . Other software engineer skills: SQL, XML, Ruby, Perl, SOA, Web Services . Testing/Automated tests (e.g.Junit) .Proficient using e.g.Eclipse, Netbeans or other development environments . Knowledge of software development methodologies and practices (RUP, XP, Scrum, Agile software development, UML) As a consultant in a client focused role you need excellent interpersonal and communication skills.You are prepared to spend periods of time travelling and working abroad.You also possess excellent analytical skills with a strategic mindset.In this recruitmentprocess we work with PerformIQ.
