Purpose of the Role
The purpose of the role is to be responsible for the country's finance function and act as a link and mediator between finance and the rest of the business. You will play a key part in maintaining an overview of the company's business and finances and support the Managing Director in strategic and operational business decisions. Part of your responsibilities is to consultant for upper management with focus on transparency and decision support with good understanding of the business.
You will be part of the Swedish management team and report to Managing Director Mikael Rasmusson. Also, you will indirectly report in a dotted line to the Nordic COO.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Assist the Swedish sales organization with key figures for the profit centers as well as sparring, interpretation and analysis in relation to the Swedish sales and after sales organization. budgets and results.
- Secure the correct accounting basis for the ongoing reporting to management, the reporting for audit.
- Identify risks and opportunities to suggest focus projects and monitor development
- Responsible for frame-setting and challenging budget, forecast and business planning
- Provide analyses on profitability of key accounts and support in tenders
- Provide financial information on success of marketing activities, and productivity of sales representatives
- Ensure completeness of the monthly and annual financial statements
- Enforce policies, legal requirements, procedures and processes set by HQ Governance or authorities
- Manage a team of corporate functions: finance, payroll and administration (4 people today)
Main tasks
- Monthly reporting for Swedish organization and to HQ and COO Region
- Act as a link & mediator between Finance, Sales, Operations within the Swedish organization and towards the Nordic Region
- Proactively provide business insights trough analysis of current business and future as a basis for decisions and define measures to increase profitability
- Continuously acquire and maintain knowledge of Kärcher processes and controlling tools
- Provide accurate financial information to guide first level Management in their decision-making on an operational level (e.g., what-if-analyses)
- Support the MD in operational and corporate tasks such as IT, payroll, logistics, procurement, travel management and other that is required from time to time
Background and skills
- General and good knowledge in Accounting and Controlling with at least 5 years working in Controlling
- Solid financial background
- Good understanding of key drivers of markets, trends, customers and legal frameworks
- Commercially aware, understanding and anticipating the needs of both operations and management
- Leadership experience
- Fluent in Swedish and English
- University degree in Business/Finance
