The Graphene Flagship is a 1,000 million euros research program funded by the European Commission. It brings together academic and industrial researchers to take graphene and related materials from academic laboratories to European society, creating economic growth. new jobs and new opportunities. Chalmers University of Technology has the responsibility for flagship management and administration.
Job description
We are looking for a temporary financial officer to the Graphene Flagship EU project to cover a parental leave. You will coordinate and compile the flagship's financial reporting, budget and prognosis for the EU project. You will also handle the running financial administration for the work packages that Chalmers is responsible for as the project coordinator (Management and Dissemination).
Your tasks for the consortium include:
- Payments to partners, including related communication and documentation.
- Budget praparation, follow-up and reviewing, in collaboration with the administrative team.
- Financial reporting to the EC: coordinate reporting, check the financial reporting by partners and request clarifications and adjustments when needed.
- Informing and replying to questions from partners and the EC.
Your tasks for Chalmers work packages include:
- Financial reporting (internally and towards the EC)
- Follow-up, prognoses, handling supplier invoices and payments to experts
- Handling and advising on supplier agreements
- Ensure that Chalmers procurement regulations are followed

Your qualifications
A degree in economics or similar is required with several years of experience from project reporting, budgeting, prognoses and bookkeeping. You must have good knowledge of and have worked with reporting EC Horizon 2020 projects. You have a wide experience from financial and administrative support systems, good command of Excel, and a very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing. You have a professional, service-minded conduct and work in a structured manner, with the ability to prioritise and plan your own work and keep deadlines. As a person you are positive, responsible and self-motivating. You are familiar with the financial rules applicable to Swedish public bodies. You must be easy to collaborate with, since much of the work is carried out in close collaboration with colleagues and partners in the Flagship and Chalmers operations support.
As the working language of the administration and the flagship is English while the financial regulations at Chalmers are in Swedish, excellent command of English and Swedish is required.
