Finansinspektionen (FI) is seeking an experienced senior expert or advisor, with knowledge of banking regulations and experience in dealing with policy issues. The senior policy expert will have significant responsibility in developing FI's policies regarding key elements of future bank regulation.
FI has an active role in the development of financial regulations in global standards-setting organizations as well as the EU, in addition to national Swedish application. The position therefore requires close cooperation with other areas within FI, other Swedish authorities and international counterparts.
FI is seeking applicants who can demonstrate in-depth knowledge and extensive experience of risk analysis and regulatory issues regarding banks and the financial sector as a whole. Expert knowledge of capital adequacy and other aspects of banks' balance sheet structures is especially highly regarded.
Applicants are required to have a university degree-level of education and a minimum of ten years of relevant experience in the financial sector or from authorities or organizations within the areas of financial stability or supervision. Experience of international policy work is a merit.
A clear, forward-looking and analytical approach is needed for this role. Applicants must be able to work independently, communicate clearly and to actively contribute to the transfer of knowledge within FI. The position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, either in Swedish or English. Excellent knowledge of both languages is a merit.
