As the Fire Safety Manager, you report to the Group Safety & Security Manager. You provide expert knowledge and advice to support a holistic and proactive fire safety risk handling for IKEA Group, which is well accepted and understood by the business stakeholders, ensuring risks are identified, assessed and treated.

In the area of fire safety with a special focus on fire prevention and emergency management, as the Fire Safety Manager, you:
Develop processes, working methods and tools to ensure efficient risk handling. Develop and update IKEA steering documents and standards, agreed and aligned with stakeholders
Support the IKEA Group with specialist expertise
Monitor relevant compliance activities, analysing and reporting
Monitor and analyse internal and external risk trends factors that may impact the IKEA Group business, and drive treatment measures
Develop and provide specialist competence for the creation of common learning offers
As the Fire Safety Manager, you bring
Passion for the IKEA values and business
High level education and proven knowledge of engineering in the area of fire prevention, fire management and emergency evacuation
Good knowledge of international fire safety standards and norms (EN, NFPA, FM, etc.)
Ability to build trust and communicate clearly and with different people in various situations
Ability to make things happen by champion flexibility, speed and simplicity
Project management experience / skills
Clear communication skills taking technical terms and making them understandable for all
Passion to strive for excellence and high performance
