What are my responsibilities?

We are looking for an Embedded-Linux Developer with extensive experience in Linux environments.
The ideal candidate has recent, demonstrated, hands-on development expertise with Linux.

The position involves a significant level of project organization in which a self-motivated applicant will work independently to develop solutions.

The role will be an integral part of a large team developing next generation access control software for Siemens Security Products.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicant should possess at least a BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or similar. Applicant must have at least 5 years of ANSI C/C++ programming experience developing software for Linux systems. Applicant must have significant experience in several of the following:

5+ years embedded development experience
3+ years? experience with Embedded Linux, Kernel and Kernel module development
Strong C & C++ Programming experience
Experience in managing the Linux environment including merging patches
Experience using code management systems like Git
Unix shell
Experience with TCP/IP and RS-485 for Linux
Swedish and English both oral and in writing

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with ARM based environments, Experience working with Linux open source community
Embedded web development (HTML, Javascript, AJAX)
POCO library, Boost libraries
SSL and encryption
Echelon LON works, MiFare
Test Driven Development
