Our unit Safe Vehicle Automation develops and delivers leading Safety and Autonomous Driving. We even control the vehicle’s 6 degrees of freedom of movement in the most energy efficient way, creating a rewarding and confident drive and ride experience. Our purpose is to develop and deliver Vehicle Motion and Control, ADAS, Highway Pilot and Protective Safety.

What you will do
In our ART Protective Safety, we are now looking for an ambitious First Lead Engineer with 5+ years of relevant experience. You will be a member in one of our Agile Scrum teams which consist of both developers and analyze/Test engineers, and dependent on your previous skills and experience, you will have the possibility to work with various Design Engineering features such as System/HW/SW development and SW coding. As a First Lead Engineer your main responsibilities will be development of ECU SW and to lead and plan the work needed, as well as to report to management. Cooperation with other Engineering Departments/ARTs, Procurement, Production, testing facilities etc. is a part of your daily work. Different technical solutions are to be evaluated to secure that the vehicles meet our high safety standards. SW development and coding skills are fundamental knowledge, and you are also expected to contribute to our new architectural SW development for our ART Protective Safety in general.
Main responsibilities
• To be an active team member of the scrum team.
• To plan, lead, and perform the needed system design
• Be responsible for developing, aligning and implementing relevant requirements, including System/Functional Safety (ISO26262) and especially legal parts.
• SW coding – VCC specific development of code.
• Leading technical reviews for the product, when needed.
• Alignment and reviews of product interfaces.
• Actively participate in reviews of DVMs (Design Validation Methods).
Required qualifications
• M.Sc or B.Sc in mathematics, mechatronics, electronics or physics.
• >5 years of work experience within System/HW/SW development.
• Experience in Matlab, Python and Simulink and C++.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Driver license B.
• Experience within automotive development is beneficial.
• Experience in using Vector products such as CANoe, CANalyzer is meritorious.
• Scrum/Agile knowledge.
