Are you looking for a job that combines leadership with cutting edge technology? We are now recruiting a first line manager for the team Perception within Autonomous Transport Solutions (ATS) Research, Scania R&D.
At ATS Research, our vision is to “shape the forefront of ATS technologies that paves the way to industrialisation”. We strive towards our vision by conducting pre-development and applied research, focusing on the latest technology within self-driving systems. Our work is strongly value driven with the aim to create future customer value. We operate in agile teams that work in close cooperation with leading partners and academic institutions, with the ambition to detect and evaluate upcoming technologies. Both our research and practical experiments shall iteratively lead to concepts for industrialisation.
Your responsibilities
You will be leading an agile team that consists of research engineers and software developers. The team conduct research, design, implement and optimize multi-sensory perception systems for autonomous driving. The area of responsibility covers the complete workflow from data collection, sensor fusion, scene perception and object tracking in the simulation environment to deployment in our vehicles.
As a manager, your most important task is to provide the pre-requisites needed for your employees to be successful in their job, every day.
Your profile
We are looking for an experienced leader with the skillset to both challenge and support your co-workers through servant leadership. You have a lot of enthusiasm and have the ability to see people’s capabilities and establish trust. To succeed in this position you need to be strong in building teams, be communicative, show grit and be energized by challenges. We are looking for a team player with a can-do mentality combined with an analytical mindset and structured way of working.
You also have good understanding in signal processing and data driven methods. Together with your team, you drive the technical development forward. You grow with responsibility and have a holistic approach to challenges.
We believe that you have an academic background, at least at M.Sc. level, that matches our domain, e.g. within robotics or computer science. Good command of English is mandatory. Good Swedish language skills is an advantage. It is also meritorious if you have experience in sensor technologies, machine learning, software development or in research.
