Workplace description
Hagagymnasiet is a school in the middle of Borlänge city, with approximately 600 students. The school offers the educational programs Children's and Leisure, Economics, Sales and Service, Social Science, and Health and Care program. Hagagymnasiet is a workplace characterized by international mindedness, cooperation, and commitment. At the school, great focus is placed on the student's educational development, we work together in different program teams to become better educators. In the centre of the school is a large bright hall with a common cafeteria for students and staff. Many people meet and enjoy a warm beverage together.

Hagagymnasiet is at the moment facing an exciting development. 2024 is planned for a new program, International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, and in 2025 the school will move to new modern premises in the surrounding area. The school, like all other high schools in Sweden, will also begin the transition to subject grades, new curricula, and digital national exams. We are now looking for teachers for our IB-Programme DP with one or more of the following subject combinations: English, French, German, Geography, History, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, Spanish, Social Sciences, Swedish, Swedish as a Second Language, and Sports and Health.

Job description
We are now looking for teachers that can educate in Swedish, English, History, Geography, Mathematics, Swedish as a second language, Social science, Natural science, German, French, Spanish. The duty might be combined with teaching at Hagagymnasiets national programs.

As a teacher at Hagagymnasiet you are expected to plan and execute a well-defined educational experience that follows our schools and IBs curriculum. With your duties comes continuous grading and evaluating the students education and development. You are encouraged to work with other teachers from the school and the IB programme to create a holistic learning opportunity for the students. Being a mentor and guiding the students towards their educational prowess will also be part of the teachers work here at Hagagymnasiet.

All teachers at IB must participate in ongoing educational development specific to the IB organisations requirement. The employer will provide education before and during your employment.

KVALIFIKATIONER
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have an academic background of high standard and professional experience. It is meritorious if you are a upper secondary teacher exam. If you have worked with digital learning tools in the past it will also be seen as an advantage.

As a teacher at Hagagymnasiet you will build strong relationships with the other members of the faculty as well as the students. You see the schools mission as a team effort and perform varied, clear, and adapted education based on the needs of the student. You use formative assessments as feedback of the needs of the student and see it as an opportunity to grow in your professional role.
