SAS Technical Operations is a team of 100 people accountable for the continuing airworthiness of the SAS fleet. It performs a wide variety of tasks including negotiating and managing supplier contracts, engineering, and planning maintenance.
CAMO – Fleet Maintenance Analyst
As the Fleet maintenance analyst, you will be reporting to Head of Maintenance Planning & Control. This position will be a split duty between CAMO contracts and CAMO Maintenance Planning & Control. You will be working as a highly qualified specialist supporting CAMO with analyses and evaluations.
The group is responsible to ensure optimal Maintenance Concepts. Reduce aircraft and component life cycle cost as well as phase in and out cost of aircrafts and components. Handling of tactical and strategic planning elements to increase efficiency and aircraft availability to maximize network opportunities.
The group consists two analysts and one senior analyst.
As a Fleet Maintenance Analyst your main tasks will be:
• Deliver all long-term planning tasks related to Continuing Airworthiness.
• Ensure optimal and economical efficient long-term base type maintenance plans for all scheduled maintenance of SAS's fleet.
• Prepare/make business cases for long terms planning strategy including scenario calculations and simulation for management decision making.
• Support with the establishment of the Aircraft and Component Maintenance budgets.
• Assist Planning departments with achieving, technical and financial business targets, and support identification and delivery of break through targets.
• Participate in and lead activities and projects within own and other functional areas, and with suppliers.
• Evaluation of the base for operational material usage for Home Base Stock coverage, also incorporated in optimized levels with risk vs cost.
• Analyze existing contracts and identify cost savings.
• Follow up and analyze of maintenance cost.
• Collection of data to KPI reports.
Qualifications and requirements·
· Bachelors/Masters in engineering studies or other relevant background from the aviation industry. Additional education within aviation or business administration is desirable.
· Excellent skills and experience in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerBI.
· Experience with analytics, analyze databases and to build scenario’s and simulations.
· Proven experience working with projects/initiatives related to optimization, development of aircraft maintenance packages and maintenance concepts leading to a cost reduction/optimization.
· Experience with making business cases and simulation at tactical/strategic level.
· Experience from Supply chain management.
· Business understanding and analyses at a tactical/strategic level.
· Project management
· Budget processes, cost control and saving programs development
· Fluent in English and at least one Scandinavian language.
· Reading and writing proficiency of technical English.
We need our Fleet Maintenance Analysts to have relevant experience within the aviation industry related to continuing airworthiness or aircraft maintenance planning activities and to be experienced within one or more of the aircraft types operated by SAS.
It is also preferable if candidates have practical experience of working with MMIS, AMOS, palantir Skywise and experience from contract negotiations.
To be a Fleet Maintenance analyst with SAS you should be the type of person who likes to be intellectually and personally challenged and an ability to think holistically. You are communicative and have the ability to manage and guide scenario’s into business decisions. You need to be driven by results and by proactive in your approach to your work.
