This is a role for you who want to provide professional support, knowledge, experience, training and advice to vessel Ship Management Teams. You will be expected to travel to the various routes we operate our vessels to conduct audits and onboard Safety inspections and training as necessary to the requirements of the Company and the International Management Code for the Safe Operation of Ships and for Pollution Prevention
Some of your key responsibilities:
- Implementing International Safety Management (ISM) Code and other shipboard audits to achieve and maintain accreditation in accordance with legislative requirements.
- Perform audits in accordance with the requirements of the Company’s Management System.
- Assisting with accident and/or incident investigations, recording the details and preparing any associated report(s).
- Assisting with onboard training and induction of crew and sea staff.
- Safety observations analysis and feedback reporting as required
- Identifying documentation amendments/revisions to meet identified needs in the development of the Company’s Management System.
- Liaising with classification societies and flag state administrations on matters related to the Company Safety Management System as required by Line Manager and Senior Management.
- Conducting HSEQ inductions for new Senior Officers and HSEQ briefings with visiting Senior Officers.

Qualifications:
- Higher National Diploma or equivalent in related discipline
- Experience at sea, Sailing as a Deck Officer or Marine Engineer,
- Strong understanding of the key concepts of Health and Safety
- Knowledge of ISM and understanding of ISO standards and codes
- Knowledge of incident investigation and Root Cause Analysis
