Lund University is the largest university in Sweden with education and research within technology, natural science, law, social science, economy, medicine, humanities, theology, art, music and theatre.The university has around 39 000 students and 5 500 employees mainly in Lund, Malmö and Helsingborg.The university is one of 14 universities within the Öresund University and co-operates with hundreds of universities and research centres all over the world. ) trains airline pilots of the future!During the Spring of 2008 we begin to train our first students toward receiving a Multi-crew Pilot License and the future students will graduate with a Bachelor's Degree.In addition to having an academic degree, the L.U.S.A.post-graduates will be type-rated in a multi-pilot aeroplane and have experience as First Officers in a multi-crew environment.The further development of the traditional integrated ATP training course to the MPL training course is a considerable move for the industry as well as for L.U.S.A.In order to provide the industry with important research results regarding the new ideas of pilot training, our Research Department is closely involved in the implementation of the new training concept.Are you interested in taking part in our exciting growth and in the development of pilot training of the future?About the position The position as Instructor at L.U.S.A.may comprise service as ground instructor only or as a combination of ground and flight instructor.As a ground instructor you will teach one or more ATP-theory subjects.As a flight instructor you may serve as an instructor both in aircraft as well as in synthetic flight training devices.The position as flight instructor may consist of part-time instruction and part-time service within a JAR-OPS 1 operation/airline.The position as flight instructor is a full-time employment but the opportunity for part-time employment of at least 50% for pilots already working for a JAR-OPS 1 operator/airline is also possible.Profile To be a successful instructor you should possess good pedagogic skills and the competence of being trainee and solution oriented.Applicants seeking position as flight instructor shall hold at least a JAR CPL-license with ATP-theory.Applicants as ground instructors shall have a theoretical background within the subjects to be taught.We desire prior training and experience as instructor.Also qualified applicants with airline experience may be considered and provided with instructor training.Fluency in spoken and written English is important.Applicants must possess the right to live and work in the EU.Qualifications .Academic training or degree .Academic training within relevant ATP-subjects and experience of ATP-theory training .IRI .CRI/ME and/or SFI/TRI .MCCI .1500 hours flight time in Multi Pilot Aircraft .500 hours total flight time .200 flight hours as instructor .Knowledge, skill and experience working with Microsoft Office All documents shall be certified.
