Flight Operations Engineer
SAS Scandinavia’s Flight Operations Engineering team consists of Subject Matter Experts covering flight safety critical operational/technical areas such as flight crew documentation, emergency equipment, aircraft performance, navigational data, mass & balance, aerodrome approvals, Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) and ACARS/Datalink.

Main Responsibilities
- Maintain airplane operational manuals (e.g. OM-B, FCOM, QRH, MEL) and other technical-operational instructions and information for flight/cabin crew required for the safe, legal and efficient operation of all aircraft
- Support the Performance and Mass & Balance Engineers in performing calculations and ensuring that performance and mass & balance data in FCOM/OM-B and EFB complies with manufacturer data, regulations and company policies.
- Maintain liaison with CAMO, aircraft manufacturers and other operators in technical-operational matters
- Maintain proficiency regarding aircraft systems and operation and applicable rules and regulations as required for assigned tasks
- Answer/Follow up of Pilot and Cabin Reports of a technical-operational nature
- Lead/participate in projects where Flight Ops Engineering competence is required.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Preferably a minimum of five years of experience in Flight Operations Engineering
- Preferably hold at least a bachelor’s degree in aeronautical engineering or equivalent
- Knowledge and experience within aircraft performance and/or mass and balance engineering
- Thorough knowledge of Civil Aviation Regulations, preferably EASA Air Ops
- Proficiency in English (excellent verbal and writing skills) is required and at least one Scandinavian language is advantageous
- Experience from implementing and using lean principles to improve safety, efficiency and cost effectiveness is advantageous
- Current or previous pilot license of any kind is advantageous

Working conditions/place
The position is a full-time position (40h/week) with six weeks of vacation per year. We offer flexible working hours, possibility to regularly work remotely and attractive traveler advantages and wellness allowance. Position is places at SAS Head Office, Frösundavik, Stockholm.
