Business Unit Liquid Food (BULF) supply high quality process solutions and key components to the food producers (dairy, beverage, prepared food, soft drink, and plant-based industry). We are experts, all the way from pre-treatment and mixing/blending/ standardization/separation/homogenization/cleaning, to different heat treatment techniques and aseptic storage.


You will work in a team that drive and handle issues and strategies related to quality but also supporting development of new products and technologies and deliveries of solutions and key components to Tetra Pak customers. The team is situated in Lund but work in network with the other Business Unit Liquid Food sites and the global Tetra Pak networks including Clusters and Business Units.


Within the BULF organisation, we are now looking for a Food Safety Officer.

What you will do
The responsibility of this position is to provide support, advice, guidance, and expertise in the areas of aseptic performance, food safety and product quality mainly within Business Unit Liquid Food but also to other stakeholders within Tetra Pak as well as to customers.


As our Food Safety Officer, you will:

Actively participate in the Food Safety officer network to strengthen and improve the capability of Tetra Pak in food safety.
Regularly evaluate aseptic performance data from the Quality and Technical Issue Management system (QuTI-P) and suggest areas of improvements to BULF management.
Participate in escalated issue resolution and systematic troubleshooting in the areas of aseptic performance. Recommend actions for root cause eradication and horizontal prevention (lesson learned)
Support in development of new products and technologies but also deliveries of solutions and key components to Tetra Pak customers. Drive improvement activities related to aseptic performance.
Actively promote and deliver trainings to customers and internal stakeholders, focusing on the areas of aseptic performance support
Proactively keep self-updated on food technology, food science and food safety standards, including local legislation and regulatory guideline.



This position will be based in Lund (Sweden). The position includes some travelling.
Who you are
We believe the successful candidate have minimum bachelor’s degree from reputable university majoring in food technology, dairy technology, microbiology, food engineering or food science, or equivalent work experience. It is required that you have at least 2 years’ experience working in a leadership position (formal or informal leadership) within the area of Food Safety and/or Food Quality either in food (aseptic/chilled) industry, chemical cleaning company or food processing equipment manufacturing company.


You have good basic knowledge in processing/dairy/food/beverage/soft drink/plant-based technology, UHT treatment and pre-processing and aseptic filling. Also, we see that you have experience of driving systematic trouble shooting activities and experience in delivering training.


You have sufficient knowledge in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Quality System (HACCP, ISO) and Microbiology.
We are looking for a communicative, proactive food safety professional colleague, motivated to actively collaborate internally as well as externally. You succeed in the role as an informal leader and are an analytical and curious person with a strong drive for problem solving. You keep yourself updated within the area of food technology, aseptic technology, food processing, microbiology and can share your knowledge through your excellent communication and presentation skills. Furthermore, you have customer facing experience and the ability to work under pressure.
Your English skills are excellent, written as well as spoken.
