SCO BM (Supply Chain Operations, Base Materials) is the organisation within Tetra Pak that procures and secures quality of all base materials Tetra Pak use to manufacture packaging material, opening devices, drinking straws, etc.
Supply Chain Operations, Base Materials is looking for a Food Safety Specialist who will drive activities and initiatives to secure Food Safety of our suppliers and the base materials we buy.
You will become our BRC-standard (British Retail Consortium) specialist and champion. One important responsibility will therefore also be to analyse and propose if and how SCO Bases Materials have to adopt current way-of-working, or processes, in order to ensure our compliance to the BRC standard as well as the ISO 22000 standard.
This position is based in Lund, Sweden.
What you will do
As Food Safety Specialist you will:
Assist the Senior Food Safety Specialist in developing processes and procedures for ensuring supplier and Base Material compliance to existing Food Safety demands
Develop and perfect the understanding of the BRC- & ISO22000 standards and propose potential changes in the way we work in order to improve our adherence to these standards
Coordinate certain Food Safety activities within SCO Base Materials
Become an active member of the ‘SCO BM Food Safety Team’ and take on the secretary role for the team
Drive Food Safety improvement activities in alignment with our ISO 22000 management system
Participate in activities and projects as a speaking partner between FPSI Stuttgart & SCO BM, when required
Contribute to internal Tetra Pak competence networks
Occasionally participate in conducting supplier audit
Who you are
We believe you have:
A University degree in Chemistry, material science, food technology, food safety or similar. You also have >5 years of experience from Food Quality Assurance or equivalent work. Experience from Food Safety/regulatory work is considered a merit.
Your strongest ability is to collaborate. You are confident and dynamic yet humble in personality with a high level of drive and appetite to develop both personally and the environment/people around you. You are passionate about structure and good order. You are a Team-player as well as an individual contributor with high personal drive.
Prior BRC- & ISO 22000 standards knowledge is considered a merit.
Fluent in English both written and verbal. Fluency in Swedish and German is considered a merit.
