The Food Technology team of Tetra Recart is looking for a Food Technologist to secure and improve the quality of our customer products. The position offers the possibility to work innovative and result oriented in close cooperation with our customers and with a wide internal network.

Food Technology is a part of Tetra Recart, Sales & Technical support and our main emphasis is to support the sales organisation with food expertise. Our role is to understand the relation between food, package, pre- & thermal processes, and storage. This includes evaluation of food shelf-life, food safety and hygiene, process impact on food and package quality, evaluation of retorts, pasteurizers and filling technology.


The position includes an average of 20% travelling.


Main responsibilities

-Support our customers and sales organisation with food knowledge and expertise by leading and conducting trials in our test factory and customer plants
-Adapt both new and existing food recipes to the Tetra Recart system (retorted, shelf stable food in carton packages)
-Conduct microbiological and shelf life tests
-Share Food Technology competence and conduct training within Tetra Recart, Tetra Pak and our customer organisations


Qualifications

We are looking for a strong communicator and team player who enjoy sharing knowledge and new ideas. You also have excellent interpersonal skills with focus on collaboration. To analyse and come up with the right solutions is one of your biggest strengths and motivators. You have great knowledge in food as well as in production and the ability to combine the two to find the best customer solutions.

To be successful you hold a university degree in Food Technology or Food Engineering or equivalent. We believe you have several years experience from product development and/or quality assurance within the food processing industry. Experience from canning industry, project management as well as culinary skills from prepared food are all meriting. A very good command of English, both written and oral is required.
