The preferred location of the positions is where SMC logistics are established (Burlington, Santiago, Sandviken, Dublin, Johannesburg, Singapore, and Brisbane).The development of a global forecasting process for the company has been, for the last year, run with a project team from different areas in the organization.It is now time to set up a permanent organizational structure to continue the development work and include more product lines in the forecasting process.A key position is Forecast Planner, who will manage the forecast process to ensure that time tables are adhered to and that communication and collaboration of forecasting data with the markets and key stakeholders takes place.An important aspect of the work is the continuous training of the organization in regards to Forecasting.As a member of the forecasting team, you are expected to make recommendations and assist in the development of the Global Forecasting Process. Key performance areas - Ensure continuous communication and collaboration of forecasting data with the markets and key stakeholders.- Assist in the development and continuous improvement of related business systems.- Ensure timely collection of forecast data.- Ensure market forecasts are updated and applied to operational planning.- Provide feedback and make recommendations to the markets and business segments in order to ensure orders are created according to the forecast.- Assist in the development of a training program.Identify and conduct training where required.- Report and monitor KPIs, including forecast accuracy and compliance.Perform demand and forecast analysis in order to identity and communicate trends. Your profile A Bachelor's degree in Economics or Business Administration or three equivalent combinations of education and working experience is required.You should have three to five years in a similar role, preferably in a multi national environment, including working with collection, analysis and communication of key forecast data and results monitoring.Some experience with training is preferred.
