What’s in it for you    
In close collaboration with colleagues in other business units, we develop and implement flexible and efficient production systems with people in focus. Manufacturing Engineering Stamping is a global function with responsibility to launch new car programs and processes in Volvo Cars' plants as a part of Volvo Cars Manufacturing Engineering. Our mission is to develop and implement sheet metal stamping processes for new car models within Volvo Cars. The operative location for this role will be in Olofström but with a global perspective.

You will be able to develop your own skills, both technically with deep knowledge in sheet metal behaviour as well as in the area of process planning. As a part of our team, you get access to long term development opportunities in a dynamic and continuously growing field, where you have a direct influence on customer satisfaction. 

What you will do 
As a Forming Analysis Engineer you will work in close cooperation with the die process engineer in order to develop stamping processes to secure that the stamped parts are feasible. We work in all new car projects. The work starts with support to styling in early project phases and generally ends when the manufacturing of the dies starts. We also support with second line analysis if problems occur during running production. We are using CATIA V5 to model the processes and we use AutoForm as software for the sheet metal forming simulation and evaluation of the result. 

You and your skills
We believe you have a Bachelor or Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering or similar. You have a passion for cars and technology, and you are fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.  

On top on this, you have experience working in CATIA V5 surface modelling or similar CAD software. Also, experience and understanding from sheet metal forming, preferably from AutoForm is meritorious.
