Luleå University of Technology is head of a national graduate school of space technology, with at present 15 PhD students and plans for 10 new PhD students.To support the graduate school we are now seeking for four postdoctoral research fellows to strengthen the space technology research in the graduate school.

Research topic: All aspects of GNSS (including the US GPS, EU's Galileo, Russia's GLONASS, and China's Compass) research thrusts.Of particular interest are: (i) software defined receiver architectures; (ii) antenna array processing; (iii) interference mitigation; and (iv) GNSS/INS integration (particularly MEMS-based INS devices).

Duties
The duties of a postdoctoral research fellow are research and teaching, with emphasis on research.The candidate should be experienced enough to take full responsibility for a course, and also to supervise PhD and master thesis students.Research duties include writing publications and funding applications.The research fellows should support the school by participating in activities, such as workshops and meetings, as well as giving a course for the PhD students if requested.


Formal requirements
To qualify for employment as a postdoctoral research fellow the applicant must have a PhD degree.Preference will be given to candidates with a thesis that was defended at most five years prior to the closing date for applications (as stipulated by the Swedish "Högskoleförordningen" 4:10).

Selection criteria
The selection will be based on scientific and pedagogic qualification, with the main emphasis on the scientific qualification.

Fluency in English is required.Knowledge of Swedish is not required, but it is assumed that the candidate is prepared to learn Swedish in the first years.
