The Global Headquarters for Volvo Financial Services is seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst to provide financial and business analyses in addition to collaborating with several functional areas of the company including Accounting, Treasury, and Risk within the Volvo Financial Services Global HQ team.
What you will do
As an FP&A Analyst, you will prepare analyses and make recommendations to improve company profitability as well as plan, consolidate, and analyze actual and budgets related to VFS markets and regions.
Together with your colleagues at VFS and in the broad cross-functional network at the Volvo Group, your starting point will be to take responsibilities in the following areas:
Supports transformation in the Global HQ finance function through the use of dashboard technology, RPA solutions, and Hyperion Essbase
Provides backup for administration of Hyperion Essbase Administration Services Console
Aids in governing key VFS models including match funding, credit reserves, and pro forma pricing
Assists in development of comprehensive financial forecasting models, including cost and revenue projections used in profitability analyses
Consolidates of annual financial plans including volume forecasts and operating expenses budgets
Provides balance sheet analysis and risk management analysis, including segmentation reporting, funding, and procedural reviews
Compiles publicly available information pertaining to competitor performance and prepares materials for presentation to senior management
Consolidates match funding submissions to monitor interest rate and liquidity exposure levels
Supports development of VFS Finance Academy
Models The Volvo Way and ensures The Code of Conduct is followed
Other duties and projects may be assigned

We believe the successful candidate has strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to draw conclusions from large amounts of information, ability to understand team and corporate objectives, demonstrates superior verbal and interpersonal communication skills as well as ability in handling confidential information and working with a high level of integrity and ethics.
Qualifications likely required to be successful in this role include:
BS/BA in Finance/Accounting or related field is required. CPA and/or MBA preferred.
1-3 years of experience in financial planning, business analysis, or related field
Experience in the Financial Services industry a plus
Multi-national corporate work experience preferred
Proven business knowledge of finance, accounting and operations
Experience with quantitative abilities in the fields of finance, statistics, and mathematical modeling
Proven ability to prioritize and work effectively on multiple tasks
Proficient in MS Office, with advanced knowledge in Excel and PowerPoint
Experience with Hyperion Essbase, data visualization tools, and RPA technology preferred
Experience working in a professional environment where sound business judgment, attention to detail, a fast pace and a flexible and adaptable approach are valued.

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with exposure to various business settings
