This role focuses on in-depth characterization, validation, and debug of Ericsson Silicon FPGAs thru innovative test methodologies to ensure highly reliable operation in next generation mobile communication system. You will
Oversee verification and performance characterization of new innovative circuit designs that enable the next generation products.
Characterize and validate new silicon — Ericsson FPGA silicon. Produce and review validation reports with guardians and cross-functional teams that accurately highlight issues, design risks, root cause analysis, and steps to closure.
Drive design reviews with silicon vendors to uncover issues and achieve the highest quality products within established schedules.
Spearhead innovation by developing unique analytical methodologies.
You will bring
BSEE, MSEE with industry experience with at least 6 years.
Excellent oral and written English skills.
High motivation, strong analytical skills and capability of driving critical investigations, decisions, and projects to conclusion within an assigned timeframe.
Innovative problem solving skills with integrity and attention to detail.
Experience in FPGA area, including FPGA loading and debugging via JTAG or other methods on target boards.
Experience with digital hardware design such as FPGAs/ASICs and digital interfaces for system interfacing. Ability to understand board schematics and layout.
Deep practical electrical knowledge and basic soldering skills. Practice in handling boards and units in lab. Experience with lab equipment, such as oscilloscopes, debuggers, signal generators etc.
Experience of board/silicon bring up (in depth knowledge of trouble shooting is preferred).
Experience in UNIX/Linux including scripting. Interest in test automation, Bash, Perl, Tcl, C++ and/or Python is preferred.
Experience in source code repositories handling, familiar with Git/Gerrit is preferred.
Experience with industry-standard protocols (PCI Express, USB, Ethernet, RS232, JTAG, etc.)
Ability to work well with dynamic multi-functional teams in an innovative work environment.
Experience in electronics industry and/or silicon companies.
Good interpersonal skills, creative approach and the desire to tackle diverse challenges.
Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Ericsson site and off-site.
