Job description Ready for the challenge of a lifetime, working with the world's leading company in microwave transmission?As part of our commitment to broadband for next-generation networks, Ericsson is strengthening the project team working with advanced technology products such as MINI-LINK and Marconi Long Haul.We are seeking to employ FPGA/ASIC designers to join our team.You will participate in all steps of development from definition and planning through implementation, verification and debugging by simulation and work in the lab.You will work in an international team in cooperation with the design unit in Milan, Italy.More importantly, you'll be part of a company that is passionate about its people and its technology. Competence You should have experience with ASIC and FPGA design, such as documenting your own work in design and verification specifications; digital signal processing; the transfer of design specifications and mathematical algorithms to VHDL code; and the use of development and verification tools for ASIC (RTL implementation) and FPGA.In addition, you should be familiar with object-oriented programming, preferably in SystemVerilog, and have design experience with Altera, Xilinx and possibly other FPGA vendors.We also welcome newly graduated applicants without extensive experience but with an education in electronics with a profile towards digital and FPGA/ASIC design as well as a deep interest in the area and a strong desire to learn.You should also have: . A Bachelor or Masters degree in electrical engineering or equivalent .Good written and spoken English . Good communication and cooperation skills .
