The Global Competence Hub OSS is looking for Young Engineers for OSS Automation & Integration

Global Competence Hub (GCH) is a service delivery organization with units in multiple locations around the globe. The OSS (Operation Support Systems) area include the tools and processes needed for network operators and telecom providers to handle the everyday task of managing their assets, such as network entities, staff and customers. GCH OSS stands for the leading expertise within services in the OSS area. Global Competence Hub supports all of Ericsson’s 10 Regions in the world by delivering strategic competence to maximize customer value in selected engagements. An important role for GCH is to support new product and services introductions in the regions.

GCH is now looking for Young Engineers for Global Competence Hub OSS for OSS Automation and Integration to join its team based in the Lindholmen Offices, Göteborg, Sweden. As a Young Engineer in GCH OSS, you will need to take an active role in learning the different parts of integration and automation in Ericsson’s Network Management solutions. You will be required to act as the solution lead for implementing and deployment, with a high level of Customer interaction and co-ordination with different stakeholders. As solution lead you will be responsible to secure that the deliveries of solutions to customers are made in a professional way.

The team at Lindholmen consists of approximately 30 people from various diverse backgrounds. We have an open environment with self-motivated and generous staff where the customer comes first. Solving the problem and meeting the requirements is key, in both teams and individually.

Responsibilities (not limited to):

·Design and deliver technical solutions that meet to customer requirements and expectations which may change over the stages of the project.

·Identify add on sales opportunities via a close cooperation with the customer in the delivery projects and drive business with the customer by finding new convergence opportunities based on expanding existing solutions as well as creating new ones.

Share and transfer knowledge of the solution created.



You have most of the following:

·MSc in Computer, IT or Electrical Engineering or equivalent

·Proficient in Java and/or other object oriented programming languages

·Interest and experience in application development for mobile devices

·Deep Unix/Linux knowledge or equivalent

·Great understanding of different network protocols, such as but not limited to: CORBA, SNMP, BGP, TCP/IP, UDP, ARP, SSH

·A general interest in computer and network security

·Knowledgeable in database design and implementation

·Fluent in written and spoken English

·General understanding of radio access networks, transmission networks or other telecom related areas



The role may involve extensive travel with assignments lasting from 1 day to 1+ month.
