ARBETSUPPGIFTER
The International School of Älmhult has grown rapidly since it opened in 2000 and has a current population of 150 students. Situated in Älmhult in southern Sweden it is a state school. The local area, which has a population of approx. 16 000, is peaceful and situated with nearby lakes and forests. The market town of Växjö is easily reached by either rail or road, as are other large cities in the region and the Continent. The school was authorised for The International Baccalaureate`s Primary Years Programme in May 2003 and for The Middle Years Programme in May 2009. The school is international and has a friendly atmosphere. The classes are small and all teaching is in English.
KVALIFIKATIONER
The successful applicant will:
- have a fritids pedagogue qualification
- have good spoken and written English
- respond to the changing needs of the children
- attend internal staff development
- be a team-player and an equal part of the school
- be self motivated when responding to the changing needs of children
- be able to work with a range of people
- be openminded and enjoy working in a multicultural environment
- be friendly and outgoing and respect peoples different backgrounds
The person will need to be a flexible and able to respond to the needs of a changing team within a changing workplace. They must be excited by the development of the school and need to take part in the continued development. Independent thinking will be needed to make good decisions throughout the process of change.
