Description:
Based out of our Svolvær office, the Pukka front desk & hospitality coordinator is responsible for connecting Pukka’s product offerings with customers. This is done through bridging the trip planning team and the adventure team in order to provide customized experiences for our operating destinations: Lofoten, Tromsø, Karlsøy, Skjervøy, and other places on the Norwegian coastline.
Together with the trip planning team you’re contributing as a key driver in the itineraries of our guests. The trip planning team is responsible until our guest’s plan is set and confirmed, and you take over to prepare for arrival, handle any and all communication and care for our guest’s meaningful adventure from start to finish.
This unique position requires a driven and enthusiastic individual with consultative sales skills with a passion for delivering quality hospitality and service to our customers. Additionally, they are responsible for implementing and improving sales processes that emphasize customer relationship building and value creation that align with Pukka’s mission, strategy, and product offerings.
Our ideal candidate is excited for the outdoor and adventure travel industry and already is well familiar with the key destinations in Northern Norway. As a front desk & hospitality coordinator, you need a character of a pleasing personality that likes to connect, converse and genuinely wants to share the beauty of Northern Norway with potential guests through taking their perspective as a base on a daily basis.
Importantly, a front desk & hospitality coordinator is a quick-learner and self-starter who takes ownership and accountability for their work, motivated by the ability to make an impact and develop in this high-growth organization. You will work in a team and report to our operations & hospitality manager.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
On-site customer service - Responding to customers with enthusiasm, greeting guests, taking phone calls, answering inquiries, ordering supplies, maintaining an organised workspace;
Consultative Sales - Quickly build rapport with customers to create excitement and interest in products and generate sales revenue, includes probing for customer information that will enable future sales;
Learning Agility – Ability to learn the business and our offerings quickly;
Creative Problem Solving – Develop creative solutions that are aligned with Pukka’s logistical capabilities to meet customer needs, budgets, and limitations;
Systems thinking - Work with a variety of systems and partner tools to develop and plan customer experiences ensuring effective handoff with Pukka operations and our partner;
People Collaboration – Working alongside others and contributing to an environment that values open communication, feedback, and personal development.
Modifying itineraries - Efficiently modifying and adding to itineraries and sharing these with excitement to the potential guest, that we refer to as dreamers.

Essential Requirements:
Customer Focus - Builds strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions;
Interpersonal Savvy – Relating openly and comfortably with diverse groups of people;
Instills Trust - Gaining the confidence and trust of others through honesty, integrity, and authenticity;

Minimum Qualifications:
1-5+ years’ experience in sales operations, particularly at growth stage startups;
Fluent in oral and written English;
Conversationally fluent in a Scandinavian language

Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of the travel and outdoor adventure or hospitality sales industry;
Experience with Hospitality Management or Booking software (i.e., Rezdy);
B2B sales;
In-depth local knowledge and genuine interest for Pukka’s operating locations
Fluent in written a Scandinavian language
