Born in 2014 by Creative Director, Max Svärdh and CEO, Albin Johansson, Axel Arigato is a Sweden based contemporary brand that started from an Instagram page and an idea to break into the footwear market.

With deep roots in music, art, architecture and what is contemporary, Axel Arigato has defined itself by offering more than a product. It has been created to leave an experience at the front of mind, whether it’s via stores, online or through events.

Axel Arigato currently has 6 stores, including London, Copenhagen, Stockholm and Gothenburg with more pending. Expanding from 2 people to now hiring over 65 members of staff in 4 years, Axel Arigato also operates a subsidiary office in London.

Do you want to contribute to the development of essential parts of a fast-paced and collaborative environment?
We are looking for a programmer with a keen eye for design for the position of Front-end Developer. Responsibilities will include translation of the UI/UX design to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application.

You will collaborate with other team members and stakeholders and ensure the alignment of web design and user experience requirements, optimizing web pages for maximum efficiency and maintaining brand consistency across all web pages, among other duties

As a Front-end Developer you are required to work in teams alongside Back-end Developers, Graphic Designers and User Experience Designers to ensure all elements of web creation are consistent. This requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Developing features to enhance the user experience
• Strong ability to troubleshoot code level problems quickly and efficiently
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
• Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies
• Maintaining brand consistency throughout design.
• Participate in agile ceremonies of scrum team

Requirements

• Strong experience in programming languages JavaScript and ReactJs
• Experience in creating responsive/reactive web-design with HTML and CSS
• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates
• Experience with e-commerce websites
• Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them.
• Demonstrated ability to independently deliver results in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
• At least 1 year of appropriate professional experience in the field
