Front-End developer / architect (full stack)

As a Front-End developer / architect (full stack) you will join the digitization journey at Volvo Group and actively contribute to shaping the next generation customer experience.

Responsibilities:
Directly contributes as a member of a scrum team to the test-driven development of software features and non-functional quality attributes
Ensures SOLID principles and standard design patterns are applied to system architectures and implementations
Works with product management, business stakeholders and application architects to understand software requirements and helps estimate epics, features and stories
Provides skillful communication and respectful listening — conveying logical and structured thoughts, truthfulness, empathy, confidence and friendliness



Required Qualifications:
2+ years’ experience programming enterprise web products
Intermediate knowledge of general engineering concepts like design patterns, OO programming and SOLID principles, UML, HTTP, MVC, APIs, data structures and algorithms
Knowledge and significant experience with front-end development technologies like JavaScript (ES6), HTML5, CSS3, Style-Components, Responsive Design, npm, Jest
Experience with JavaScript frameworks and technology like Angular/TypeScript
RESTful services - JSON
DevOps - Jenkins, Git
Understanding of test automation and mocking
Understanding of monitoring



Good-to-have Qualifications:
TDD towards API
Relational DB - Db2, SQL, JDBC
JMS - RabbitMQ, MQ
Microservices architecture - Docker, OpenShift
Experience with JavaScript frameworks and technology like Polymer, React,, Redux, Vue.js, Ember JS
Java - Spring, Hibernate,VertX, JPA
RESTful services – OpenAPI, Swagger
DevOps - Gerrit, Maven
