We are a unit within Group IT with approximately 1600 people having full responsibility to manage the evolution of all the commercial solutions used by the truck brands and that are common for the Volvo Group.


The Volvo Trucks Aftermarket unit enable a multitude of customer services from profitable spare parts sales, reliable quality monitoring and novel uptime services. We take pride to connect and collaborate in order to deliver our services in close agile cooperation both within the Volvo Group and with our partners.

The Diagnostics department is based in Gothenburg, Curitiba and Bangalore and we have a strong focus on new development in order to provide our end customers with the latest technological solutions.

You will work in a Global cross-functional, developing the next generation Diagnostic Service Platform which is a key enabler for reinventing our digital experience in the Volvo Aftermarket world. The team is working agile in the true sense and is part of an agile release train where multiple teams work together in order to deliver new functionalities every 10 weeks. Being part of our department gives you an exposure and responsibility that goes just beyond the backlog.

Your main activities and responsibilities
You will lead the frontend development in our agile train and drive the development of cross-platform front-end components, working closely with the Solution Architect, you will be involved in defining future strategies for this area.
You will dive deep into one or more of our tools to understand and translate user behavior and research into actionable feature and you will stay up to date on emerging technologies in the domain, always working agile.
You will create concepts, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences. You will work closely with your fellow developers to innovate by designing coherent, seamless, and intuitive state-of-the-art user experiences for our customers. You will collaborate with back-end developers and UX designers to improve usability of our tools.


Development skills
Skilled in HTML5, TypeScript, JSON, CSS and JavaScript
Skilled in Web Component techniques
Knowledgeable in Testing framework like Mocha/Chai/WCT (Web Component Tester) or others
Skilled in at least one frontend framework (Angular, React, Vue, Polymer, etc...)

Background
A Bachelors or Masters in Engineering science, Computer science, Business Administration or equivalent
A passion for IT
At least 5 years relevant work experience
Solid English Skills
