Job Description
As a Software Engineer you will work in the Non commercial goods product team consisting of 10 colleagues onsite and offshore, consultants and employees. We are an enabling team building and managing contract and order management of non-commercial goods and campaign materials, and a supplier Tender application. We are a multinational, highly collaborative organisation with an entrepreneurial mindset, working on a global scale with solutions in 60 countries.
About the role
You will be working alongside the Product Owner, Business Experts and other Software Engineers in an autonomous and agile team, with the responsibility for creating and designing solutions that delight our end users. Furthermore, you will:
Work with best practices for the full software development life cycle
Translate product strategy and requirement into suitable, maintainable, and scalable solutions
Collaborate closely with product owner and other cross-functional teams, share best practice as well as discuss and motivate design solutions
As a team we are fully responsible for the whole development cycle, design, build, test, deploy, evaluate, and repeat. The mindset “You build it – you run it “ is key for us. We are measured on business outcome, not code merge or defects.
As a Front-end Software Engineer at H&M Group, we believe that you will have the ability to apply leading software development practices and present alternative solutions and technical choices. To do this, we think you have:
Minimum 5 years experience of frontend developing
Strong proficiency in JavaScript
Thorough understanding of React and its core principles
Prior experience in Redux or other state management
It is also positive if you also have (but not necessary) experience in visual regression testing tools like Happo.IO and have competence within different agile frameworks and supporting tools.
