Front End Developer to Sales IT

Front End Developer to Sales IT

Arbetsbeskrivning

Scania is currently undergoing an exciting transformation from a traditional truck manufacturer to a provider of complete sustainable transport solutions. IT is a crucial part of this transformation as Scania’s success is depending on flexible and efficient IT solutions that support current and future business requirements.

What do we do?

We are a team of 10 and enable Scania dealers and distributors to configure Scania vehicles according to customer needs. We work on an internal application used in over 100+ markets. Basically, wherever Scania operates. So, imagine it this way: Every Scania truck on the road is built using our application. Hmm... millions? Yes, more than that. We process a couple of hundred thousand API requests per day, but don’t worry our Back-end Team handles this already. We want you to add some creative soul to our Front-End. We support around 20 other internal consuming systems.

We are looking for you who is a senior developer and has...

- At least 3+ years of experience with Angular. (Currently we are running on 14, constantly upgrading according to Google release).

- Knows Pain points of angular, performance optimizations, blocking main thread should be one of your least favorite hobbies.

- RxJs knowledge.

- Have an opinion about design systems and libraries (material, bootstrap and check our mighty: Scania digital design system).

- Understand asynchronous JavaScript.

- Experience with testing frameworks (cypress, karma, jest etc).

- Experience in consuming REST APIs.

- Drive the web application development process with UI/UX principles; from mock-ups & design documents/reviews to acceptance testing and deployment.

- We like component-based architecture and hope you like it too (and understand).

- Good to have experience with DevOps and AWS.

Who are you?

You are a curious, senior frontend developer with an interest in the continuous development of yourself, your colleagues and your department. You possess excellent communication skills and are interested in bringing out the potential in your colleagues, not shying away from taking on a mentoring role when suitable.

On a personal level you dare to try new things and brainstorm about complex product configurations from UX perspective. You possess the ability to present your ideas to stakeholders and share learnings with others and welcome constructive feedback.

You are also capable of refactoring existing solutions to adhere to proven sustainable patterns.

Scania being an international company, it is expected that you are comfortable expressing yourself in oral and written English.
