Front End Software Engineer

We are looking for a Front End Software Engineer who likes to work in a flat-structured, highly dynamic, friendly and fun environment.
The role, based in Stockholm, involves close collaboration with the product management team and backend engineers. As a Front End Software Engineer, you will create and further enhance user experience by providing a simple, robust and intuitive UI. We use short sprints and agile practices where time from idea to market is minimized, while keeping a high product quality. You will primarily work on the existing codebase while at the same time modernize the front end of our application into Angular. You will be an integral part of our development team, working with and taking shared responsibility for the user interface of our services.
To be successful in this role you must have knowledge in domain- and test-driven development and are able to quickly translate product requirements into stable code. You have opinions, you like to take responsibility for and influence your own work as well as the company’s effort as a whole. You are a fun-loving and hardworking individual who is always eager to learn and loves sharing knowledge and experience.
Skills and Experience
Commercial experience as a front end engineer developing complex web applications
Great experience with JavaScript and preferably TypeScript and appreciate its advantages
Great knowledge of ES6 and beyond
Proficiency in writing clean vanilla JavaScript code as well as using libraries and frameworks like jQuery, Angular, Vue, React and/or Svelte
Knowledge of CSS is highly important and very beneficial if you have experience with LESS and SASS
Solid foundation creating cross-browser and responsive web experiences and understand the nuances of supporting tablet and mobile browsers
Experience with JavaScript testing, Good appreciation for TDD
Experience creating and consuming APIs and RESTful web services
In-depth knowledge of the Kendo UI framework is great
Knowledge of Node, Redux, RxJS, webpack, React Native and native app development is a big plus
For our backend use the latest Microsoft web stack, so strong object-oriented fundamentals with prior experience in ASP.NET MVC and C# is a big advantage
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Experience working in an agile environment
