Frontend Developer

DESCRIPTION
The client develops and operates one of the largest retail websites in the world. They are now looking for an experienced developer who will join the project implementing a new CMS for their website. The development is centralized to Sweden and we work with the site for all 50+ countries. The assignment is full time and based at our IT-department in Stockholm.

Project New CMS will implement Content Management System CQ5 from Adobe. The implementation will be done by two implementation team working in parallel. The person we are looking for now will be front end developer in one of the two teams. CQ5 competence is desirable but not necessary.

WORK TASK
? Implement frontend in CQ5 both for end users and for content editors.
? Ensure that the web front-end fits with our platform for e-commerce back-end
? Experience of the following technologies is required: HTML/CSS/Java Script/ jQuery/ AJAX
? Stand for implementation expertise (HTML / CSS / JavaScript) when we discuss the sketches and prototypes.
? Support the back-end developers to connect the front end to back end during implementation.

SPECIFIC COMPETENCE
? Strong experience in developing user interfaces for external web sites and mobile applications.
? Experience of front end web development
? Experience in developing large scalable web sites
? Solid skills of HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript
? Experience from working with jQuery, AJAX
? Experience with IDEs such as IntelliJ IDEA or similar
? Good skills in ensuring cross browser compatibility & progressive enhancement
? Experience in prototyping in HTML or other tools like Axure etc
? Very good knowledge of web design
? Knowledge of Java based CMS, CQ5 or other
? Experience from responsive design and we prefer documented experience of at least one responsive web project
? Can understand and follow Mobile first and Progressive enhancement principles
? Documented experience of version control systems such as subversion and GIT

We also prefer if the person has experience from:
? Automated Test such as Selenium, Cucumber or similar
? Continuous delivery
? Scrum, XP or other agile methods
? User stories

We value continuous improvement but do not blindly follow one specific agile process.

We are looking for someone curious with many ideas and lots of experience from working effectively with large websites in distributed teams. He/She knows when to be pragmatic, when not to bend the rules, and sees continuous improvement as something natural.
