The position
As a Fuel Cell System Leader in Thermal Management, you will be responsible to lead our complete fuel cell system development (HW, SW, Integration, Verification and Validation) and secure implementation of technical solutions for different applications and brands. Together with our highly skilled engineering teams and the wide cross functional network you will be at the forefront of product development toward our sustainable future.


The position requires you to be structured to lead and support parallel cross functional development activities and synchronize milestones and deliveries with vehicle pre-study teams, other departments and organizations. The System Leader / Epic Owner is a senior role in Thermal management and require you to have skills, interest and passion in leading both technology and people.


Who are we and what do we do
Thermal Management is a department/sub technology stream within Volvo Group Trucks Technology with the responsibility for developing optimized cab climate and vehicle cooling and heating systems for all truck brands within the Volvo Group.


Who we are looking for
The profile we are looking for has several years of hands-on experience from leading and coordinating product development activities, preferably from different operational project models. In this highly technical field, we encourage applicants with an engineering background in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Physics or similar.


You have the ability to clarify and break down complex technical problems, a strong technical interest in combination with genuine interest in leading people. You also have good communication skills, a willingness and enthusiasm for taking on new opportunities and challenges and of course you are a team-player.


Ideally you have several years’ experience working as project manager in Thermal management or related mechanical, electrical hardware or software area. Experience within agile development and the automotive industries are also a great advantage.


We are looking for applicants with knowledge in at least some of the following areas:
Project Management in automotive engineering and/or a solid background working in product development roles.
Experience from Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronic and/or embedded system development.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
