The Fuel Cell Testing & Simulation group within Powertrain Strategic Development is looking for a Fuel Cell System Senior Test Engineer with focus on performing Fuel Cell system testing to evaluate the performance of the Fuel Cell system for a Heavy Duty vehicle application.
The Fuel Cell Testing & Simulation group consists of a team of dedicated experts that are responsible for ensuring capabilities and operation of virtual and physical testing of Fuel Cell systems and related components. We have high expertise in Fuel Cell components and subsystems and engage in research of forefront Fuel Cell technologies.
THIS IS THE ROLE
As a Fuel Cell System Senior Test Engineer you will perform complex test campaigns with multiple interfaces. You will be highly involved in overseeing, troubleshooting, and resolving issues in the Fuel Cell lab. Analyzing experimental data, summarizing, and communicating results from testing will be also an important part of your role.
In close collaboration with simulation, control, and system engineers, you will also analyze experimental data and identify cause-effect relationships between design and performance to specify, balance and verify system requirements.
Another part of the role is to develop innovative experimental methods for improving the efficiency of the test campaigns and the accuracy of the experimental data.

To be successful in this role and enjoy your work we believe that you are autonomous and are passionate about finding novel experimental methods for evaluating future propulsion technologies. You are proactive, accurate and persistent to identify the root causes to problems in the lab and to find suitable solutions. Since you will work through many different interfaces, it is important that you like teamwork and are approachable with the ability to easily adapt to new situations.
Qualifications:
Ph.D. or Master degree in relevant engineering field
Autonomous and with competence to run and evaluate tests
Working experience from Fuel Cell system testing and evaluation
Broad knowledge about experimental tools/methods including rig control and measurement equipment
Deep knowledge about Fuel Cell fundamentals
Deep knowledge about system software calibration and different communication protocols & data buses (e.g., CAN)
Good knowledge about data analysis tools/methods for analyzing experimental data
Approachable and solution oriented
Adaptable to changes in your environment
Fluent in English, written and spoken
