Full Stack Java Developer for Distributed Clearing System
Nasdaq Technology is looking to hire a Full Stack Java Developer to join one of our clearing teams. Together, w e are helping some of the worlds largest clearing houses meet the ever-increasing demands by building highly distributed, resilient and mission critical clearing systems.
You will be part of an agile team with many skilled colleagues. Our work style is very collaborative, and you will be working closely with Business Analysts, Test Engineers, DevOps Engineers and Project Managers. We like developers to be active in design decisions and your future teammates are always happy to discuss coding problems and technical solutions from different angles. For this role, we are looking for someone with experience in backend development who also wants to grow their skills and abilities within UI development focusing on technical design and usability.
If you are familiar with the trading or clearing domains already, you have a great advantage, and concepts like integrated p osition keeping, real-time risk, collateral management and settlement may excite you. This is also a perfect learning opportunity if you are interested in Fin T ech but new to the domain.
Our customer base is truly international, and we are currently running delivery projects to serve customers in the US, Japan and Dubai. We always work closely together with our customers development teams and often integrate them with our own scrum teams. Sometimes we visit them and sometimes they visit us.
Looking ahead at our product roadmap, we are moving along with our customers into the cloud, currently making the system cloud native.
What will you be doing ?
Design solutions and writ e high - quality code that solves difficult problems in a highly distributed system with extreme demands on resilience and quality.
You will be involved in all stages of the development life cycle; design, implementation, test ing, release, deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance and enhancement.
Participat e in design discussions and decisions.
Improve our agile method by c ontribut ing with your experience and input to sprint planning, retrospectives and demos.
Work collaboratively as part of a team, committing to goals, sharing both successes and failures.

What will you bring to the team ?
Curiosity and a willingness to share your knowledge with your team and bravely dive into new technical and functional territories.
Previous experience of working with agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
A p assion for building great products and delivering them to business and customers.
5+ years of experience developing backend Java applications.
Some experience or interest in front-end development.
An outgoing and self-driven attitude along with a sense of structure and creativity.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
Meriting but not required: Knowledge of K8s and Docker
