THE OPPORTUNITY

• The opportunity to work with a tech stack at the forefront of technology built on NUXT, NodeJS, Express, Prisma (ORM) Postgres and an AI NLU engine communicating with Neo4J. Everything is running in a Kubernetes environment hosted on our Swedish provider Elastx.

YOUR CHALLENGE

As Fullstack Developer, you are involved in the entire development cycle, from napkin-scribbles to concept and deployment/implementation. You will develop solutions in both front and backend as well as developing databases, create APIs and write unit tests to ensure quality and functionality. We are currently using Node.js with Express for the backend and React/Vue for the frontend. Everything is written in strict Typescript. We´re most likely to switch either to NEXT or NUXT for the frontend moving forward.
Being a part of the team of Tengai also means being involved in projects that drive product development forward and you will get quick feedback on what you develop.

We live and breath cutting edge at Tengai. That´s why it is of the utmost importance to have strong fundamentals around rules, structure, guidelines and best practices on HOW to move forward and build for the future. We´re constantly in uncharted territory (as product and in technology) so we must move arm-in-arm as a team to be successful.

THE TEAM AND WORK PLACE

We are a total team of 8 people and you will belong to our development team which currently consists of two developers, one in backend (Node.JS) and one in frontend (React / Vue). In addition, you will work closely with our Agile Team Lead, Head of Engineering and CPO.

We work in 2 weeks´ sprints and have retros every 4th week. We try to aim at 4 hour deep work per day and structure our sprints around that truth. We adjust sprints around team velocity and not individual contribution. 

We work according to a hybrid remote mindset and are happy to spend our days at our office located in Malmö in Media Evolution City on Stora Varvsgatan when we do not work from home.

ABOUT YOU

To thrive in this role we believe that you have a great interest in technology, problem solving and like to be hands on building things that matters. You have experience in building systems meant to scale. You like to experiment, explore and build small prototypes to try a thesis rather than doing guesswork. Regardless if it´s frontend or backend.

Typescript is a must (if you´ve worked with any strictly typed language you´ll be fine) and if you´ve worked with Test Driven Development before that´s a huge bonus as well.
