The position
The Sports Scale & Enable team is set up to integrate platforms to enable a rich, premium & structured feeling to Viaplay’s sports portfolio - connecting our viewers with NENT’s worldclass production/broadcast capabilities. We actively work with tooling to streamline scheduling & editorial processes, catering for the different demands on our service.

As a Fullstack Developer at Viaplay, you will have the opportunity to work at the forefront of digital media, develop the platform to meet the challenges of a continuously growing user base. Your engagement will shape the future of our service as you will be involved in defining the cutting edge for video on demand. We are now looking for a new team member to help us grow the platform, enhance our user experience and create the next generation of streaming services.

We thrive in using cutting edge technology, always keeping up to date and constantly challenging the status quo. We work with Node.js in a micro-services architecture that runs in AWS.

What we are looking for
We are looking for a passionate developer with a genuine interest in software development and an ambition to constantly improve your skills. You have worked with a variety of tasks requiring complex problem-solving using JavaScript. If you also have an interest in multiple programming languages, you will fit right in! You will be part of a team that makes things happen in a brilliant and self-driven manner.

Successful candidates also meet the following requirements:

- Strong experience of working with Frontend frameworks like React.js or similar.
- Conceptual knowledge about Functional Programming
- Good understanding of REST API.
- Understanding of test- or behavior-driven development (TDD/BDD) including supporting frameworks.
- Experience in developing services in the cloud, preferably AWS.
- Interest and motivation to work with modern frameworks.
- A team player that wants to grow within the craftmanship.


Bonus requirements that will make you stand out from the rest:

- Experience working with a state-less and high transactional end user product.
- Experience with state management frameworks like Redux
- Experience with Server-side rendering and/or frameworks like Next.js
- Experience in modern architecture patterns.
