What is in it for you? 
The electrical transformation drives new solutions for Climate system. New smarter solutions that are more energy efficient which is required to contribute to the continuously need for increased driving range without compromising on the comfort for the passengers. You will be part of a small team that finds new smart system solutions to realize customer functions. You will take a system design and customer function responsibility giving the SW developer input for implementing after your requirements. 
This role provides the opportunity to be involved and influence how future mobility solutions will look and work. You will also be a part of our professional and motivated team where we expect you to bring curiosity, joy and engagement within your tasks and responsibility.  

What you will do. 
As our content grows, we need to strengthen our team of System SW designer and Function owner within ART Climate. You will be working with both system and function development. You will be part of creating new functions and adapting to already existing. Together with system architects and SW developers you are part of getting the function realized. Good communication skills are needed to understand other´s ideas and to get your ideas accepted within and outside the team. You create clear requirements that minimizes the risk of misunderstanding and understands the value of good documentation whereas you document and describe the functionality for the users in the Owner’s manual. You stay up to date with the latest technology trends through benchmarking and clinics. To get insight into the customer experience you take part of various vehicle tests. 

What skills are we looking for?
It is meritorious to have worked in the automotive industry with awareness of Functional safety. Some of the Volvo tools that you will using are Elektra, SystemWeaver and iPLAN. A good insight in Matlab-Simulink and programming in general will help you understand and design the functions.
A relevant education for the position is a Bachelor/Master degree preferably in mechatronics or computer science. This role will absolutely suit you if you have excellent interpersonal skills including fluent English in speaking, writing and reading as that will be your daily working language. If you don’t already speak Swedish, you have a plan to do so in the future.
