At our department of Autonomous Drive (AD) and Active Safety Functions, we design, integrate, and verify the complete vehicle solution for autonomous cars and active safety functions. We collaborate with some of the most innovative industry partners to reach our future visions of safety, convenience, and mobility.
AD has the potential to fundamentally change how cars are used and will have a strong impact on society. As a member of the AD Function teams, you will take part in this journey and how we will show that we are the leaders in safe, customer valued and purposeful functions for AD. The responsibility, communal with the team, is to develop and launch human-centric, safe, and robust AD to customers.
What will you do?
We are looking for an engineer for complex and advanced system design. 
You will use your experience and competence to help develop, systemize, integrate, verify and launch a super attractive and safe AD experience to customers. You will collaborate with a large interface to other teams that needs to contribute to the development of the AD functions. 
You will be part of one of the three teams that have joint responsibility for the AD function. Your colleagues have competence in function design, systemization, function realization and integration, requirements management and decomposition as well as function Verification and Validation (V&V) in both virtual physical test environments. We want team members to work on what is prioritized for/or by the team to contribute and learn. Therefore, we like to have people engaged that have relevant experience and confirmed competencies and skills but are open to contributing and learning in other tasks that the team needs to deliver. Your workday will be characterized by collaboration with colleagues from different teams in Volvo Cars as well as our AD SW supplier Zenseact. All of us share the same goals for AD and ADAS functions
We are trying to adopt agile working principles to move fast and learn fast and we do continuous planning and we strive to demonstrate product maturity step by step to share learnings and engage support.
Do you fit the profile?
We believe that you have +5 years of relevant experience and competence in:
•    experience from ADAS function design, realization or verification from previous work 
•    requirement development and decomposing of requirements on different abstraction layers 
•    systemization of safety-critical functions and therefore knowledgeable in how to apply the standards ISO26262 and SOTIF  
•    MSc degree in Systems, control, and mechatronics, Data Science, Computer engineering, Engineering Physics, or BSc with relevant experience 
•    Swedish driving license or soon to get
Meritorious is also if you have experience from:
•    AD function development
•    SW integration
•    Function integration and testing in HIL and SIL environments
•    Eork experience from Autonomous functions 
•    Scrum or Kanban based teamwork
You are
•    fluent in English, spoken and written 
•    an experienced driver that enjoys the freedom of mobility the car can provide
