Vehicle Electronics is one of five Global Technology Areas (GTA) within Global Electrical and Electronics Engineering. We are represented on all Volvo Global Trucks Technology (GTT) sites and consist of around 130 skilled engineers in the area of:
- Chassis functions & electronics
- Vehicle functions & electronics
- Safety functions & electronics
- Customer & Transport Adaptation

Position Description
At the group Chassis Function & Electronics within Electrical & Electronics Engineering product development at Volvo GTT we are looking for a Function Owner/Developer.

As Function Owner/Developer You are involved in the complete chain from specifying the initial requirements realizing features in the vehicle to follow up of verification activities, securing requirements fulfillment, and the quality of the function prior start of production.

As a Function Owner/Developer You will be located in Lundby, Gothenburg, and work in the team responsible for developing chassis functions.

You will in this role be the main responsible for your functions and have a large network cross-functionally and globally.

Main Responsibilities:
- Collect, analyze and break-down high level product requirements to electronic control unit requirements
- Be the stakeholder for a set of functions within Electrical & Electronics Engineering in all phases from early concept to maintenance
- Model the functionality of truck functions to explain the behavior of the electronics system
- Document requirements in a structured way making it possible to implement and verify software components by in-house or external suppliers
- Use advanced systems engineering tools and databases in the requirements documentation and analyze work
- Take part or lead reviews and safety analysis of requirement documents
- Support advance engineering activities
- Work in development teams together with function owners, component- and verification engineers
- Follow up of test results and requirement fulfillment during implementation phase
- Drive and follow-up defect resolution, and secure that corrections in specification and implementation are made

Required Competencies:
- Good communication skills and high ability to work in team
- Automotive domain knowledge
- Experience from embedded SW development or test and verification of embedded systems
- Experience from working with function development & SW engineering
- Experience from systems engineering and related tools
- Fluent in English, speech and writing
- Requirements writing experience is a merit
- AB Volvo experience is a merit
