Function developer – Camera and comfort systems

Arbetsbeskrivning

Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

Scania is a strong, global organisation that has accumulated know-how and skills within the world of transport over the last century. With our track-record and our determination, we can make a difference in the future of transport.

At Scania we have a strong culture of developing and launching innovations that actually work at scale, in order to drive real change.

We are looking for a Function developer for Driver camera and Comfort systems to be part of one of the most interesting and challenging technical project areas you will come across! We are expanding the team in a very intense and interesting development phase to fullfil the demands for future driver functions. There are several new projects in our portfolio where you will have the possibility to make a difference for our customers with your experience and ideas.

If you have the experience and want to take a step to the next level you will be able to do so here. Committed and curious minds with a preference for a technical career can grow together with us at the team and within Scania.

Your future job

You will be part of the Driver camera team with creative colleagues and work in close cooperation with the rest of driver comfort areas, but also other groups and sections within Embedded Software and Functions.

As a Function developer you will be involved in architectural questions towards the rest of the project/company and you will also help the development teams to find the right path and come up with the best solutions to improve the Driver environment. As a developer your main tasks will be developing functions and systems for Camera applications within the comfort and driver support area.

In this role you will work with both short-term and long-term solutions at the same time and you break down our strategies and visions to manageable challenges. Since we have a strong teamspirit you have a passion for working in a collaborative environment with different stakeholders and creating functional development roadmaps.

We believe that the following applies to you:

• M.Sc degree in Mechatronics, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar
• An interest for the Automotive industry
• Curious and eager to learn
• Good social skills and easy to build network and connect to people
• Experience of applying hands on leadership

It is meritous if you are familiar with C++ , Matlab, Image Processing, Image Sensors and have experience of developing camera based functions for HMI purpose/usage, HW and SW aspects. A holistic view of the different components in a modern HMI system (e.g. graphics, camera functions, HW and SW aspects) can come in handy and you understand the technology stack needed to deliver a modern operating experience. Good understanding of the non-functional aspects of Software Development such as maintainability, performance and reliability is valuable.

If you believe that the above applies to you we are very interested in meeting you!

In this role you will play a central position in the development of a new system which will change the way that we see the Scania driver environment!

We offer

In addition to career and development opportunities, we can also offer other benefits such as distance working in Sweden, company car, company-performance bonuses, a pension, flexible working hours, lunch at reduced prices and much more. If you live in Stockholm, we offer a direct bus service between Stockholm and Södertälje, the Scania JobExpress.
