Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
We are looking for a functional developer for our team Driveability Software & Strategies (NEOD). Our mission is to develop world class driveability for Scanias conventional and electrified powertrains through our embedded functions. We do this to ensure that the futures sustainable transport solutions are as attractive to drivers and hauliers as our trucks and buses are today!
Your tasks
You will be a part of a highly integrated team that develops strategic powertrain functions with focus on driveability and the driver’s experience of the powertrain. This includes functions such as gear selection strategy, driving resistance and weight estimation. You will have a great impact on the final product through our functions that affect both driveability and energy efficiency as well.
You will work together with our team from generating ideas and predevelopment to requirements, implementation and finally verification both in simulation and in vehicle. We are very quality conscious and strive to fulfil our customers both high and very individual demands and therefore you will get the opportunity to verify our functions on expeditions in Sweden and on the roads of Europe as well.
You will perform in a dynamic environment where sustainability and electrification are part of everything we do and you will get extremely fast feedback on your functions. You will learn new things uninterruptedly and you will get a very good understanding for Scania’s end product. To do this in the best possible way, all of our team members get the opportunity to acquire license for heavy trucks with trailer.
Your profile
We are searching for a master of science or equivalent who puts the customer first and has a talent to see own contributions in a larger context. We also see that you have:
• Good knowledge in Matlab/Simulink and C/C++
• Interest for functional development and embedded systems
• Ability to work with complex questions and issues in a constructive way
• Capacity to relate to other peoples opinions and like to collaborate with other individuals
• A quality conscious mind and that you put great effort to reach ambitious goals
European B driver’s license is required as well as fluency in English (both written and spoken). Knowledge of powertrains, programming in python, experience of embedded systems development and professional driver experience are meritorious.
