Arbetsbeskrivning
Scania’s purpose is to drive the shift towards a sustainable transport system, by developing safe, smart, and energy-efficient transport solutions that are better for people and the planet.
It is a bold and exciting journey with no finite end. Our innovative spirit and determination are what keep us going until we reach the science-based targets that Scania, as one of the pioneers of the industry, has proudly committed to.
Are you passionate about function development and agile teamwork? Then we have the right position for you to thrive in.
At Chassis Coordination we own and develop the central chassis system and the vehicle level control ECU. We are responsible for functions in the area of vehicle level control, fuel theft alarm, and distance to empty. We also work with embedded code in several systems and have an active interest in continuous integration and smooth development.
We are two tight agile teams working cross-functionally with changes all across the development cycle, ranging from idea to customer release, with everything from requirements to implementation and iterative testing.
The tasks span from pre-development and prototyping, through contributions to ongoing projects e.g. electrification and autonomy, to rapid changes for field quality issues. We value continuous improvements and an inventive work environment with a high degree of freedom. And we care for each other.
The position
We are now looking to strengthen one of our teams with a function developer. In this role you will work tightly together with your great colleagues, focusing on the next generation vehicle level control ECU. We are moving the software development in-house, and the role will comprise both discussions with suppliers and fellow engineers within the other Traton brands, working close to the HW controlling our sensors and actuators, and creating new code and regression tests from scratch.
Your profile
You probably have a few years of experience in working with embedded systems; either as a developer in C or Matlab/Simulink, as a test developer working with tests in Python and HIL, or in the interaction between hardware and software. You love to work in a team where you support each other, and share both struggles and success. To work with a product that has a real impact and matters to the customer makes your day - you feel excited and challenged to resolve technical problems whenever they arise and you like to laugh at work.
You have a B.Sc. or M.Sc in the field of embedded systems, mechatronics, computer science, electronics, or relevant work experience. However, your attitude, mindset, and personality are of equal importance.
We offer
Working at Scania you are offered benefits such as personnel car, mutual performance bonus, occupational pension, distance working in Sweden, flexible working hours, and much more. If you live in Stockholm, we offer our direct bus service between Stockholm City – Liljeholmen – Södertälje, the Scania Job Express.
