Do you want to make cars safer and more fun to drive? Do you want to be part of the transition to safe autonomous transportation? We’re developing both hardware and software to make it a reality.
Since 2009, Sentient has developed steering and safety products. As a company with 35 employees, we really stand out and bring quality and effective solutions to our customers. As an employer you will work with the whole solution life cycle - from startup of a new project to test the finished solution in a real vehicle. We have access to the test tracks close to our office in Gothenburg, where we often test our solutions in customers’ cars and trucks.
Not only will you be working with the coolest technical challenges creating steering and vehicle motion control of the future. You will also be part of an optimistic atmosphere, where joy, knowledge sharing and openness are key characteristics. We are passionate about deploying new ways of working and focusing on continuous improvements to stay in the forefront. With us you will have a very experienced, skilled and open-minded team on your side.
What will you do?
As a Function Developer within our company, you will play a key role in developing our products to meet our customers’ requirements through optimized solutions, ensuring reusability and user-friendliness. You will develop the solutions in Matlab/Simulink and perform development testing across multiple levels - both simulated and vehicle-level testing for production. Your knowledge and experience will contribute to the organization’s further knowledge-growth to ascertain delivery of high-quality products with lean processes.
Who are you?
In this role, we’re looking for someone who takes responsibility and approaches challenges with curiosity and initiative. You are driven and have a problem-solving mindset, thriving in dynamic environments where you can continually develop and grow. You’re adaptable, valuing collaboration and humility, which makes you an excellent team player. With solid skills in Matlab and Simulink, as well as a good understanding of embedded systems, you have a genuine passion for working in a technology-focused environment. Your broad technical knowledge and holistic perspective allow you to see the bigger picture and contribute meaningfully to the team’s success.
To truly thrive in this role, you should have a master’s degree in automotive engineering or a related field, along with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in function development. A strong background in control engineering is essential, as is extensive knowledge of Matlab/Simulink. You’ll also need a valid driver’s license (B or higher). It is meritorious if you have experience working with C/C++.
